The extinction of the t. rex occurred around 65 million years ago, but my admiration for them started as a kid.
Staring upon a Lifesize 96% complete triceratops skeleton at the Melbourne natural history museum in Australia last December ignited a spark inside me I totally forgot existed.
Phrases like - how on earth did these animals walk this earth? how incredible was their reign!? what did they truly look like? whirled in my head and ultimately the source of inspiration for this piece.
I think we all experience the disbelief of these creatures when faced with their skeletons. it ignites that childlike inquisitiveness in us, the one we forgot existed.
Being still slightly obsessed with dinosaurs (probably my inner child screaming) i had to paint this iconic beast. I did some research into its colourations and behaviour, but with varying data and research - so this is my own personal take on the animal. I took into account its habitat when selecting the colours and of course had to paint it in the legendary Jurassic park pose!
This piece sold within the first day of the other art fair back in march for £4000. It was also my most photographed piece, which tells me you’re all secret dino nerds like me!

What is a Giclee print?
I only offer giclée fine art prints, because they’re the highest quality prints available. I want my clients to have the most beautiful print possible of my artwork, and one that will stand the test of time. If you walk into a gallery or museum, they will only offer these types of prints.
What these prints aren't:
Cheaper digital prints use 4 dye-based inks. The smaller number of colours means colours are reproduced with less precision and colour matching is an approximate. The colours in high street commercial prints will fade over time and the paper will change colour over the years, unless you keep them in a box or away from the light.
